Jessxl I haven't had any problem there i love them its better then the other one on the industrial estate. If you don't like then I think I should go somewhere else

I have lived in Manningtree for well over a decade. About a decade ago when I first frequented this chippy, I thought.The people here are nice and friendly, but the battered sausages are rather cremated, but the chips are nice and the saveloys are the best I have tasted in ages!
I went to Chilvers this Spring, and although I really like to support local businesses, I was HORRIFIED at the quality of the battered sausage and chips I got to share with my child. I am not a fussy person. I am a good eater and a slightly larger person. I LOVE chips and chippies in general and I would NOT EAT this sausage OR chips. I vowed I would NEVER EVER give Chilvers my money ever again. The chips were chewy, greasy and rather re-fried tasting and the sausage was disgusting. If they want to survive in Manningtree, they need to sort themselves out and get a whole new batter recipe and even consider a re-fit as it has been the same for more than 12 years in there. I won't ever recommend them to anyone unless things change. I love supporting local businesses, but this is a warningyou won't last unless you make some changes. VERY old fashioned and not too friendly neither
